About Image2Pattern.

Image2Pattern is a local browser tool for turning an image into a cross-stitch or single-board bead pattern.

What this edition supports

Image conversion, editing and export run locally in your browser without an account or file upload service. You can open a JPEG, PNG or static WebP up to 10 MiB and 12 million decoded pixels, crop or rotate by 90°, and compare three color-limit conversions side by side.

For cross-stitch, the studio generates full-stitch patterns from 10 to 200 stitches per side on 11, 14, 16 or 18-count Aida, with Print (multi-page) and Screen (single-page vector) PDFs. For beads, the studio fits your crop onto a single 29 × 29 grid using your measured horizontal and vertical hole spacing in millimeters, with optional PDF mirroring and a 100 mm calibration line.

An honest first edition

The converter uses a generic 32-color original palette. These are demonstration colors, not verified brand codes or a procurement list. Physical material colors can differ from your screen.

Cross-stitch is limited to full stitches on Aida. Bead patterns use one 29 × 29 square board. Brand color libraries, inventory, cloud accounts and multi-board layouts are not included, and physical printing and board fit have not been validated.

The cat example

The built-in orange-and-white cat is an original AI-generated illustration created for this project on 19 September 2026. It goes through the same local conversion as your own images. It is an illustration, not a photographed completed craft.
